Adorable print by Jens Grönberg over at Sammy Rose. Jens also has a great blog Dos Family, that we just so happen to be featured on... check it out here. Lots of love to the Swedish folks! Enter in the Dos Family picture tour here.
Incredible photography by Matthieu Paley of Siberian Lake Baikal. I am mesmerized by the veining in the ice. How little does one feel on a slab of ice so massive. Spectacular! Via Hello Bauldoff via notcot
Architecture Halloween costumes on some Brooklyn kids. Breuer, Wright and SANAA via La Bella Figura. I think this will be my inspiration for next year's costume. How genius!
Here is a sample of what I re-did to submit for grad school. The pages face each other like a book so if you can imagine that for a moment. 73 pages total including undergraduate work and professional work. Now the wait begins...
Despite these past few days of rain the beginning of the week was impeccable! I took two 3 hours bike rides in and around the lake front just snapping photos and gaining inspiration from all of the beautiful foliage. Here is a recap of those two amazing days! Fall is leaving (no pun intended) us here in Chicago way too fast! It's my favorite season... why can't the trees be this beautiful all the time? Enjoy! I hope y'all have a great weekend! Only 1 more week until graduate application is done. Then back to a regular schedule of posts!
Fall, my favorite season is upon us in Chicago. It has been a pretty consistent temperature of high 40's for about two weeks. Totally skipping the 50's and 60's this year has me searching high and dry for some fall/winter inspired clothing. Here are a few things that have caught my eye from Seattle store Blackbird.
Undoubtedly one of the most comfortable chairs I have ever sat in and also one of the most simple and gorgeous on the eyes. Ray & Charles Eames created a masterpiece with their holistic approach to the design of the Aluminum Group Chair. These will be in my home someday.... I'm working on it!
Our friends Rohith and Niramin asked Colt and I to be active participants in their wedding. Colt became an ordained minister for the event and I was the photographer. It was located at the beautiful Shakespeare Garden on the campus of Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. It was so much fun and very low key! Such a pleasure to do this for them! They are so happy!
holy moly! These 10" heels are AMAZING! I wouldn't wear them but they are so cool! You must watch the girls going down the runway in these. Reptilian cyborgs! Spectacular! Via Alexander McQueen Click here for fashion show.

wham! bam! thank you mam! I am an avid fashion follower if you can tell and the latest collection from Victor & Rolf is stunning for the most part. I mean I can do without the silk pajama but i guess you have to soften the collection somehow. It is filled with some aggressive sculptural forms which I am mad for at the moment. I would love to translate some of those into light fixtures somehow. Enjoy! PS- I love the music too!
The detailing on this kitchen island is pretty divine. I wouldn't necessarily choose this granite but I like it. Designed by Kanner Architects found at Design-Milk.
Spotted over at Core77 is this amazing succulent/flower vase that perfectly frames your greenery into polaroid dimensions. Just the perfect amount of positive and negative space! I could use some of those! By designer Jung Hwa Jin.
Interior Designer living + working in Chicago by way of Houston, TX. Curiously wanting to experience and see new things and rediscover the old. Observer of life & design. Constantly collecting information, touching and photographing things. An affinity to minimalism but find myself conflicted as I am facsinated with objects. This is where I share inspiration with others. If you see me, stop me and say hello.
